Abia Governor Advocates Collaboration For Economic Progress, Eyes Partnership With Advance Global Solutions

 

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has emphasized the pivotal role of partnerships in driving societal development and economic prosperity.

 

 

 

Governor Otti who stated this when he received in audience the president, Advance Global Solutions,(AGM) Consortium, Mr Attilio Bianchi on a business meeting, said that the state is open to partnership with prospective, genuine investors willing to invest in the state.

The Governor underscored the importance of collaboration, and highlighted its ability to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, resources, innovation and mutual advancement.

 

He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to enhancing security, infrastructure development, and creating overall enabling environment to attract investors to Abia.

 

Governor Otti cautioned against societal isolation, noting its potential to impede progress and hinder the benefits of global cooperation.

“No society can develop if it is introverted. We have to open up to new skills,new technology and new capital. Abia believes in partnership“, Gov Otti said.

 

The Governor expressed interest in partnering with AGS, particularly in areas such as plastics recycling, renewable energy infrastructure, and sustainable agriculture and welcomed AGS’s interest in specialized projects aimed at green solutions, plastics recycling, sustainable agriculture, and efforts to address illegal migration.

 

He thanked the AGS consortium for considering Abia as a destination for investment and assured a thorough review of the proposal to facilitate successful implementation pointing out that the state is willing to open up to new skills, technology and capital.

“I believe when we get into the details, we will know how to partner with you in some of the areas you mentioned.

Your visit has opened the door and we will see how we can begin to work together,”he said.

Earlier, the President, Advance Global Solutions, Mr Attilio Bianchi said his consortium which comprises about 20 companies and based in Europe and Italy is interested in investing in Nigeria especially Abia State and pledged to contribute to the state’s economic advancement upon formal endorsement.

 

 

Bianchi said the consortium specializes in green solutions, water treatment, renewable energy, and plastic recycling, as well as strengthening efforts made to mitigate illegal migration, among others areas.
