Cross River to Establish Entertainment Center, Boost Economy, and Create Jobs

The Cross River State Tourism Bureau in collaboration with Blake Excellency Resort Limited, have agreed to establish entertainment center that will help boost the economy of the State and provide jobs for the people of the State.

During the signing of the multi billion deal , the Managing Director of Cross River Tourism Bureau, Prince Ojoi Ekpeyong and in the presence of Barrister Ekpeyong Akiba, the Special Adviser to Gov. Otu on Special Duties , Prince Ekpeyong noted that the entertainment center which will be located at Tortulga Island area of Marina Resort will help take jobless youths off the street and revitalize the Resort which have been abandoned over two decades.

Prince Ekpeyong used the opportunity to solicits for more collaboration from any investor whose business can help the State create jobs opportunities and is willing to work with the State in boosting it’s economy.

The Chief Executive Officer of Blake Excellency Resort Limited, Mr. Uzochukwu Akunedozi on the other hand expressed excitement in partnering with the State to create such remarkable place, which he said will accommodate Children, Youths and the Old.

He said he cannot wait to kickstart the business as Blake Resort is based and known for entertainment, having hosted world class entertainments which the people across the globe can testify and latest October he hope to commence business.

Commending the State for it’s unwavering support and in investing on tourism which he said has made Cross River the best tourist destination in West Africa, he highlighted the facilities expected to be in the center which includes, Dinning/ Restaurant, Lounge, Pool, Boat cruise , Waterslides, Gaming center and a Floater to accommodate fifty to sixty people for birthdays and any other event celebration.
