Rep Nkwonta Mourns Akeredolu, Ghali Na’abba

The Chairman, House Committee on Climate Change, Federal House Representatives Abuja, Rep. Chris Nkwonta has described the deaths of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na’abba, as a colossal loss to the nation.

The member representing Ukwa-East and Ukwa-West Federal Constituency in a statement from his Media Office and made available to newsmen, extended his deepest condolences to the families, friends and the entire nation in general.

According to Rep Nkwonta: “The late governor’s commitment to good governance and sustainable development has left a big vacuum and an indelible mark on the state and the nation at large”

The Ndoki-born Federal legislator also described the late Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na’abba, as a respected and seasoned politician, adding that he served the nation with distinction and integrity.

In his words: “His passing is a great loss to the people and government of Kano state as well as Nigeria as a whole.

He further described them as patriotic leaders and core democrats who dedicated all their lives to public service and the good of humanity.

Nkwonta who expressed his sympathy to the families of the two departed leaders, urged their families, friends, Ondo state, Kano state and the country at large to find strength and solace during this difficult time.

He prayed God to grant the souls of the faithful departed eternal rest.
