Newly Elected UNICAL (PIND) Exco Charged To Take Responsibility in the Task Given

The newly elected foundation for Partnership Initiative in Niger Delta (PIND) peace club, University of Calabar chapter have been changed to take responsibility in the task given to them and to give in their best while discharging their duties.

 

The dean of student affairs, Dr Tony Enya gave the charge during the inauguration of the new executives conducted by him.

 

Some of the students inaugurated include Effiom Carah Fred as the president of the peace club, Eze Emmanuel as vice president, Japheth Edeh secretory and Ondape Delphine Treasure.

The foundation for Partnership Initiative in the Niger Delta (PIND) peace club, according to the capacity-building coordinator of the organization Dr. Chukwudi Njoku is a non-profit making venture aimed at ensuring peace building and economic development by maintaining peace and managing crises in institutions and the society at large.

 

Knowing fully well that no economic development can be archived without peace, Njoku called for peace and the society to embrace peace at all time.

 

Dr Violet Eneyor, the matron of the club said, PIND brings the students together to ensure peace on campuses and also help mold good character so that a student will always exhibit honesty wherever he or she finds himself or herself in the society.

Some of the students and members of the peace club highlighted the benefits of the club in the school, pointing out that volunteerism and cooperation for the benefit of all is the key attitude.
