Pray for Government, Reflect Christ’s Love, Mrs Otti tells Anglican Women

The wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilia Otti has solicited for concerted prayers of the Church for Dr. Alex Otti’s led Government to enable them realize all their lofty visions of taking the state to greater heights.

 

 

Mrs Otti who gave the encouragement during the Thanksgiving Service marking the 17th Diocesan Women Conference of the Diocese of Isiala Ngwa South Anglican Communion held at the St Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Umuojima, also encouraged Christian Mothers to embrace the power of unity and work in synergy in order to reflect the love of Christ to the world.

 

The Governor’s wife represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Adaeze Ikechukwu Emetu, noted that together women can make a difference and show the world that true unity can overcome any form of division.

She described the Conference Theme, “That They May Be One”, as very significant and timely especially, in periods of division and strife where they are expected to hold onto the fundamental truth indicating they are all part of one body in Christ.

 

Mrs Otti congratulated the Diocesan Women of Isiala Ngwa South Anglican Communion on their successful Women Conference and appreciated them for the incredible roles they played in their various communities, families and Churches during the just concluded election of triumph while soliciting for their concerted prayers for the Dr Alex Otti’s led Government to enable them realize all their lofty visions of taking the state to greater heights.

In his Sermon, the Archbishop of Aba Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop, Diocese of Isiala Ngwa South, The Most Rev, Dr. Isaac Nwaobia emphasized the need for unity in our families, Churches and Countries to actualize the purpose of God in our lives, maintaining that, there is strength in unity.

 

Preaching on the theme of the Conference, “That They May Be One,” The Most Rev, Dr Nwaobia who identified bitterness, envy, greed and Pull Him Down syndrome as limitations to obtaining unity and oneness added that God’s blessings can only manifest where there is peace and unity.
