Abia State Government has stressed the need for all Abians to always participate in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for the good of all, saying that its environmental sanitation officers will extend their monitoring to other parts of Umuahia to sensitize and ensure adequate compliance by residents.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Environment, Prof Ijeoma Ihieukwumere, stated this in an interview with Newsmen shortly after monitoring the September Environmental sanitation exercise held in Umuahia today
While expressing joy that the exercise was successful, she frowned at the nonchalant attitude of some residents who sit down doing nothing and going about their normal businesses during the period
Ihieukwumere revealed that the environmental sanitation Officers would extend their monitoring to many other parts of Umuahia to sensitize and ensure adequate compliance by residents.
