Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has handed over a new Community Hall together with market stalls to his Umuobiakwa Kinsmen in Obingwa Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking at the event held at
Ahia Eke Umuobiakwa Square, the Governor said this was his own little contribution to the economic growth of his people.
He disclosed that the Community hall which is fully equipped will serve as a meeting venue for the people of Umuobiakwa while the market stalls are meant to provide a conducive environment for small business owners in the community to do their business.
Accompanied by his wife, Nkechi and his younger brother, Iheanyi, the Governor thanked his people for their support and assured them that he will continue to do his best for them.
The Governor also used the opportunity to hand over several items of empowerment to different segments of the Community and urged them to make good use of them to improve their lives.
He challenged the youths of the community to embrace education as a veritable means of getting prepared for the challenges of the future and assured that he will continue to provide support to those who are studying.
Governor Ikpeazu urged the market committee to ensure that the facilities are kept clean and in good condition at all times.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Chairman, Elder Felix Elemba thanked the governor for his kind gesture and assured that they would continue to support and pray for him at all times.
