Otti’s Chief of Staff Conducts Inspection Visit Prior to Governor’s Road Project Commissioning in Aba

Ahead of the official inauguration of several roads recently completed by the current administration led by Governor Alex Otti, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has conducted an inspection tour of the newly reconstructed roads in Aba to confirm their readiness.

The roads inspected by the Chief of Staff include; Umuimo by Umuocham Road, Eziukwu by Ama-Ogbonna Road, University by Umuodo Road, Ogbo Hill by Opobo Junction, Emelogu by Opobo, Udeagbala, Cemetery, Jubilee, and Shalom Roads.

Addressing some inhabitants of the area, Pastor Ajagba emphasized the state government’s  commitment to improving the lives of its citizens,said that Governor Otti’s administration is a responsive government that has the interest of the people as priority and is committed to alleviating the sufferings the dilapidated roads have posed to the masses.

He urged the community to take ownership of the projects by assisting government to ensure that the structures put in place are protected from any form of misuse or abuse.

Earlier while conducting the Chief of Staff to inspect the projects, the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Don Otumchere Oti, explained that the projects primarily focused on excavating and widening the roads, replacing old surface drains with new ones, and constructing tunnels to manage excess water.

According to the commissioner, the purpose is to establish a durable road infrastructure that can withstand the test of time.

He stated that once completed, the projects will not only enhance the appearance of Aba’s roads but also address the recurring issue of perennial flooding that has ravaged the state’s economic hub.
