President Tinubu Arrives India Ahead Of G-20 Summit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in New Delhi, India, embarking on a significant six-day official visit that encompasses his participation in the G-20 Leaders’ Summit and a series of pivotal engagements. The President, accompanied by his entourage, arrived on a Boeing 737 aircraft at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at approximately 6:40 pm local time (2:10 pm Nigerian time).

Ahead of his involvement in the summit, scheduled for September 9 – 10, 2023, President Tinubu is set to engage in high-level meetings and interactions with fellow world leaders and prominent business figures on the sidelines of the event. Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed on Sunday that these engagements aim to attract global capital and boost foreign direct investments in Nigeria.

Ngelale further highlighted that President Tinubu will lead roundtable discussions with over 20 business leaders from diverse sectors and hold bilateral meetings with the heads of state from India, South Korea, Brazil, and Germany.

The President is joined on this mission by a distinguished team, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Wale Edun, Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani, and Industry, Trade, and Investment Minister Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite.

Upon the conclusion of the summit on September 10, President Tinubu is expected to return promptly to Abuja.
