We’ll Run an Open Door Policy for the Growth, Development Of Abia – Mrs Otti.

The wife of the Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti has reaffirmed the commitment of the Dr. Alex Otti’s led administration to collaborate with Abia women in an open door policy towards the growth and development of the State.

Mrs Otti who disclosed this during the August Meeting & Award Presentation ceremony organized by the Women’s Wing of Amurie Nkporo Development Union (ANDU) also assured Abia women of the government’s commitment towards their inclusion into key Political and Administrative positions in the state and beyond.

The Governor’s wife represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Adaeze Emetu noted that with the appointment of women as Commissioners of Health, Agriculture, Education, Women Affairs, Chief Judge and Head Of Service, it is therefore undisputable that the current administration is indeed gender sensitive.

In her address earlier, the President General, Women’s Wing of ANDU, Princess Roseline Mark Ude paid gratitude to the Dr Alex Otti’s led administration for his giant strides recorded within few months in office by ensuring prompt payment of workers’ salaries, rehabilitation of some of the abandoned roads in the State especially in Aba as well as renovation of hospitals and organization of free medical services among others.

Princess Ude thanked the wife of the Governor for honouring their invitation and pledged their unalloyed support towards the success of the new Abia.

The highlights of the occasion were the presentation of an Award for Excellence to the Governor’s wife, Mrs Priscilla Otti for her immense contribution towards the welfare of Abia Women as well as match past by various branches of ANDU among other displays.
