Be Committed, Remain Law Abiding, We Will Not Disappoint You, Gov Otti Assures Abians

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has implored Abians to cooperate with Government by remaining law abiding citizens as his administration will not fail in upholding and actualizing the dreams and potentials conceptualized by the founding fathers of the State in taking Abia to greater heights.

Dr Otti who stated this during the Interdenominational Service held as part of activities marking the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Abia State conducted by the Dominion City Church at the Event Centre, Umuahia, restated that a new dawn and better days for Abians through their well thought out programs is sacrosanct.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu reaffirmed his commitment to prompt and regular payment of salaries and enjoined workers across the State institutions to commit themselves to being diligent in their duties by supporting the reform initiatives and programs of Governor Alex Otti led administration.

He urged religious leaders to continue to guide them in the right direction as well as pray for the present administration to enable them deliver on their mandate.

Wife of Abia Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti

In her remarks, the wife of the Governor, Mrs Priscilla Otti stated that the present administration is irrevocably committed to deliver on their election promises having been brought to power to liberate Abia through God’s Divine mandate and called for prayers to enable them succeed.

Preaching a sermon, the Officiating Minister and State Pastor of Dominion City Church, Umuahia, Pastor Ugo Dimgba said the present administration has performed creditably so far but should continue to reel out programs that will make the people feel the impact of governance and congratulated Abia at 32. He expressed gratitude to God for channelling the State on the right part.

Pastor Dimgba stressed the need for men of God to always speak truth to power without compromise as well as praying ceaselessly for those in authority to enable them overcome every form of principalities and manipulations from forces of darkness.

 

The Service featured special prayers for Government Officials, peace and progress of the State as well as presentation of gifts to the wife of the Governor by the women ministry in celebration of their Women’s Convention.
