Nigeria has qualified for the final of the 2023 FIBA after defeating the host, Rwanda 79 – 48 in one of the semi-final matches.
Nigeria won the first, second, and fourth quarters 8-22, 12-22, and 13-21 respectively. The home side managed to win only the third quarter 17-14.
Amy Okonkwo, who destroyed Mozambique yesterday in the quarter-final, was on hand again to destroy the hosts with 23 points.
D’Tigress will take on the winner between Senegal and Mali in the final on Saturday.
This is the sixth time D’Tigress is reaching the final and the fourth time they are doing so consecutively.
