A urologist Anslem Iyama has warned men against sexual enhancement drugs as engaging in mental sex could lead to increase heartbeat. Dr. Iyama who is also a consultant urologist at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital gave the warning in an interview with our reporters while speaking on the rising cases of death among young men during sexual intercourse. He
strongly advised Nigerian Youths to avoid the use of sex enhancing drugs because of its side effects which could be dangerous to them
You would recall that recently, there was report of a barber identified as Otobong who was found death in Mile 2 Diobu Port Harcourt after a suspected sex romp. And also a married man from Imo State Chikwando who died after a sex romp with his lover.
Dr. Iyama explained that those drugs makes the heart beat faster than normal. Stating that sexual annihilation makes the heart beat faster than normal to supply the required oxygen that one need. And that if such a one has a marginal heart disease like hypertension, the person starts gasping for air and if it doesn’t stop and other action take in place, the heart will just stop working. Adding that the heart has decompensated because it was managing with the normal day to day activities but when more load is given to it, it will decompensate, just like a vehicle that is not strong and overload is put on it to climb a hill, it won’t be able to climb, it will just stop.
Dr. Anslem Iyama further explain that middle age men that are above 40 years may start having chronic illnesses like hypertension, diabetes and others, may not even know and by the time they start taking sex enhancement drugs, the heart will start working more than enough thereby needing more air and oxygen and if they are not available at that moment, it will lead to collapse and death.
The urologist Dr. Iyama however advised that people must please go and meet their doctors if they must take those drugs. And their doctors will examine and give them the correct prescription. Stating that the use of sex enhancing drugs without doctors proscription may lead to heart failures.
