CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Enyimba to face North African Foe

Enyimba International have been drawn against Al Ahly Benghazi of Libya in the first round of this season’s CAF Champions League.

The draws were held today at CAF’s Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

Enyimba will play away in the first leg at the Martyrs of February Stadium, in the weekend of August 18 to 20 while the second leg will take place in Nigeria one week later.

The other Nigeria’s representative, Remo Stars will lurk horns with Medeama Sports Club of Ghana.

If Enyimba progress to the second round they will face the winner between Coton Sport of Benin Republic and ASEC Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire.

In the CAF Confederation Cup, Bendel Insurance will lurk horns with ASO Chiefs of Algeria in the first round while Rivers United, who will join in the second round  will take on the winner between Casa Sports of Senegal and Etoile Filante de Ouagoudougou of Bokina Faso in the second round.
