Abia state Governor, Dr Alex Otti has harped on the need for political appointees in the present government to actively support his administration’s agenda which prioritizes initiatives like poverty alleviation, improved access to education, and enhanced road infrastructure.
The Governor stated this at Government House, Umuahia during the swearing in ceremony of two new Special Advisers; Mr. Ugochukwu Okoroafor, Special Adviser for Monitoring and Evaluation, and Hon. Iheanacho Obioma, Special Adviser for Political Affairs.
He emphasized the importance of upholding the highest standards of governance set by the current administration and urged the newly sworn in appointees to play a crucial role in fulfilling the promises made during his campaign.
Governor Otti highlighted the significance of remaining dedicated to the responsibilities outlined in their Oath of Office and reminded them that their appointments were not meant for personal glory but rather to utilize their vast experience in serving the State with integrity and sincerity.
In response on behalf of his fellow appointee,Mr. Ugochukwu Okoroafor, expressed their awareness of the challenges Governor Otti faced in his efforts to serve Abia and vowed to provide unwavering support to help him realize his vision of transforming Abia.
