The National Directorate of Employment, NDE has called on Artisans in Abia State to leverage on the ongoing registration exercise and visit the State Directorate to fill their forms and to get documented.
In a press release signed by the State Coordinator, Mrs Tessy Wachuku and made available to newsmen in Umuahia by the Public Relations Officer, Mrs Chinwe Ewurum, the NDE Abia State Coordinator pointed out that the Federal Government through the agencies National Directorate of Employment has commenced the registration of all ARTISANS nationwide.
According to the release, the registration covers amongst others Auto – mobile, Auto – electrical, Arc and Gas welding, Barbing, catering and Hotel Management, Carpentery and furniture making, Hair dressing, Cosmetology, Tailoring and fashion designing, Vulcanizers among others.
While noting that the registration which commenced on Friday, 14th July, 2023 is free, the release enjoined Artisans interested to visit NDE Abia State Office, Amuzuta Old Umuahia or NDE Skills Acquisition Training Centre, No 10 Constitution Crescent near Aba Town Hall, Aba, Abia State.
