The State Acting Head of Service, Lady Joy Maduka has called on Directors in the state Civil Service to work in synergy with the present administration with a view to sanitize Abia workforce.
Lady Maduka who made the call in a meeting she held with the Directors of Administration and Finance at Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia, reminded that Directors are the image of the service, pointing out that their actions can make or mar the service.
Lady Maduka advised them to rise up to their responsibilities of enthroning core values in service, pointing out that, there wouldn’t be any issue of ghost workers and padding of salaries, if the Directors of Administration and Finance are alive to their duties.
She revealed that she is not ready to defend anybody found violating the rules of the service but will rather face the consequences of his or her actions.
On the issue of posting, the Acting HOS wondered why some civil and public servants in the state will refuse posting and warned that they should desist from such, adding that posting gives one the opportunity of being versatile and productive
