Singing of hymns and praises have been identified as the greatest weapon in defeating the devil.
This was made known by Elder James Ebere Nwokocha ,during the hymnal Sabbath organized by the Sabbath School department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia, Abia State.
Hymnal Sabbath has become an annual programme of the Sabbath School department of the Church when soul-lifting and inspiring hymns are rendered by different groups and individuals to the glory of God.
Preaching on the sermon titled” Hymnal of Victory” Elder Nwokochah enjoined Christians to always sing praises to God in their difficult times as it is best tools to fight the devil.
He encouraged them to be like Jehoshaphat whom he described as a man of courage and valor who strengthened his armies and was well prepared to meet almost any foe, even as he put his trust in God in his time of crisis and not trust in the arm of flesh.
Elder James Nwokochah said that those who put their trust in Man will be disappointed.
The preacher further reminded Christians not to despair in their crucibles as God understands their agonies and was ready to put smile on their faces.
Nwokochah encouraged them to always sing inspirational songs as a way of attracting God’s presence and one of the strong tools to victory.
