Gov Otti Celebrates Methodist Bishop @65

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, Friday, joined the family of the Diocesan Bishop of Isuikwuato to celebrate their father, The RT Rev Geoffrey Uzochukwu Kanu, who clocked 65.

Speaking while congratulating the celebrant and Bishop of Isuikwuato Diocese, The RT Rev Geoffrey Kanu on the attainment of his 65th birthday, during the programme held at the Holy Trinity Church, Ahaba Imenyi, Gov. Otti described it as a celebration of a fulfilled life of service to God and humanity.

Dr Otti represented by his Deputy, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu pointed out that birthdays are moments for fresh beginning and time to pursue new endeavours with new vigour and goal as well as an introspective analysis of life’s trajectory to move forward with courage and confidence.

The Governor commended the celebrant for depopulating the devil’s kingdom through his exploits in his dedication and commitment in not only winning souls for God, but in impacting on the society and propagation of the gospel of Christ.

The State’s Chief Executive who used the service to announce a donation of a band set to the Church to assist in the work of evangelism urged the Church to sustain their prayers for the State and wished Bishop Kanu a glorious birthday, peaceful married life and greater exploits in God’s vineyard.

In his sermon, the Prelate, Methodist Church, Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr Oliver Aba represented by the Archbishop of Umuahia Diocese, The most Rev Chibuzor Opoko said God will always equip His vessels to live up to their spiritual callings congratulated the celebrant, The RT Rev Geoffrey Kanu on his 65th birthday and 33 years marriage anniversaries.

Responding, the celebrant, The RT Rev Geoffrey Kanu pointed out that his trajectory in the Ministry would not have not been an easy ride without God who has sustained and enabled him to remain firm and thanked his wife and family for their support and prayers, while appreciating all for coming to identify with him.

The ceremony which featured featured cutting of the birthday cake and special thanksgiving by the celebrant and family as well as prayers for the success of the Dr Alex Otti’s led administration.
