The Three Lions of England lived up to their pre-match rating with a 6-2 demolition of Iran.
Jude Bellingham opened scoring in his World Cup debut in the 35th minute. Bukayo Saka doubled the Three Lions’ lead two minutes to half time. Just before the break Raheem Sterling scored his first World Cup goal for England.
After the break, Saka scored again before Rashford and Grealish added an icing on the cake.
But, Iran had pulled one back on the 65th minute through Taremi, who also converted a penalty deep into stoppage time.
Iranian goalkeeper, Beyranvand played for only 19 minutes as he was substituted after a clash of heads with his teammate.
Later tonight, USA will take on Wales in second match of the group.
