As activities ahead of the 2023 general elections continue to build up,the Team Nwa-Abia Movement is set to deepen extensive consultations.
Giving his address at the Grand Reception organized in his honour, the Abia State House of Assembly candidate of the Action People’s Party (APP) for Umuahia North State Constituency, High Chief Chris Akachukwu (Nwa-Abia), said in coming days, the Team Nwa-Abia Movement would be deepening their extensive consultations to give flesh and verve to their 2023 bid.
Akachukwu noted that Abians must use the 2023 elections to change the narrative of the state,by voting in people with impeccable qualities and unimpeachable character.
He said Abians cannot continue to do the same thing and expect a different result, maintaining that the power to put an end oddities, lies in the ballot, therefore, the 2023 general elections should be seen as vehicle for change.
According to High Chief Nwachukwu, the crowd that gathered to receive him,has further reinforced his desire and passion for a radical change in Abia.
He decried the sordid state of the nation where economic indicators have irretrievably nosedived,thereby precipitating ugly consequences like soaring unemployment,banditry, clinical corruption, death of basic amenities, general discontent and criminality.
“Nigeria surreptitiously assumed the status of a failed state.No thanks to clueless administration in both the federal and state parlance.
“All these oddities as nasty as they appear are still being replicated in our own Abia State.
“Our past administrations have serially shortchanged and failed us and there is no better time to get it right than now”.
The APP House of Assembly candidate, however, stated that it would not be business as usual, soliciting for a collective effort to return Abia to the pedestal of growth and winning ways.
He further beckoned on well meaning Abians to come together and enthrone resilience and sense of purpose above mediocrity, calling for more people to join the team Nwa-Abia movement, said as to achieve his God given mandate come 2023.
In an interview, the general Coordinator,Team Nwa-Abia Movement, Hon Gabriel Ugochukwu, said the Grand Reception was organized to receive High Chief Akachukwu,after battling with sickness, disclosing that every Ohuhu person is happy to see High Chief Akachukwu on his feet again.
According to Hon Ugochukwu,Nwa-Abia has been a blessing to Ohuhu land with several projects and scholarship schemes attached to his name.He added that High Chief Akachukwu is always open to help and has showed love for his people by making numerous sacrifices for the Ohuhu land, stressing that he is the best person to represent the Ohuhu Constituency at the Abia House of Assembly come 2023.

Interacting with the Chairman Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers and the Diawa 1 of Umudiawa kingdom in Umuahia North Local Government Area, Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, eulogized the sterling qualities of High Chief Chris Akachukwu and thanked God for sparing his life when the enemy struck.
For Eze Kingsley Omekobum and Eze Daniel Ukaegbu, they appreciated God for restoring sound health to their son,who they attested has contributed immensely to the growth of Ohuhu land.
