Ifitedunu Community Lauds Soludo Over Reinstatement of President General, Nwoye

The Ifitedunu community in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra has lauded Gov. Chukwuma Soludo over reinstatement of its elected President General (PG), Chief Uchenna Nwoye.

The Traditional Ruler of the community, Dr Chukwuemeka Ilouno, who led the community delegates to Gov. Soludo on a thank you visit, disclosed this on Tuesday in Awka.

Ilouno said that the reinstated PG Nwoye was previously been removed from office by former governor Chief Willie Obiano on unfounded  allegations of leadership tussel.

He said that justice was prevented and the PG was not heard along side other kinsmen, who were detained unjustly and are still been detained in awaiting trial in Anambra prison.

The traditional ruler said that the governor had proven his solution mantra in this injustice done to the people of Ifitedunu by past administration.

He commended the state government for its kind gesture and appealed to the  governor, to help facilitate the release of his detained kinsmen.

“We are here to thank Governor Chukwuma Soludo for reinstating our PG, Chief Uchenna Nwoye, despite the fact that some people have been causing crisis in the community.

“The leadership of our town union has been in trouble for some years now, but we thank God for Prof. Soludo, who came and stopped every trouble in our community and now restored our duly elected president general.

“We want to also beg our governor to help facilitate the release of some of our kinsmen, who have been in detention for  long on trumped up charges.

The Placards carried by members of the community read: “Soludo is hope for the common man” “we thank our peace loving governor for reinstating our PG” “Ifitedunu are proud for having you as a governor”.
