Ikpeazu Commissions 3, Blocks of Bungalows For Indigent Abians

The Wife of Abia State Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu has commissioned a 2, bedroom block of bungalow she built each for Mrs. Love John, an indigent widow from Umuaguma Ntighauzo, Mrs. Ijeoma Young, of Umuete Itungwa and another 2, bedroom bungalow for Mrs. Uruaku Apollos, of Amaumara Itungwa, all in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.

At the commissioning, the Governor’s wife said that shelter is an integral part of Governor Ikpeazu’s administration and encourages those yet to be built for to be hopeful adding that their expectations shall be granted in due time.

According to her, “what we are trying to do is to bring succour to the indigent Abians by at least providing shelter for them and at the same time reducing the housing deficit in the state” she said.

Ih her remarks, the Commissioner for women affairs and social development,  Mrs. Rose Urenta Nna, said that the Governor’s wife has done noble by reaching out to the downtrodden through her Vicar Hope Foundation projects by not only empowering them but going the extra mile of providing shelter for indigents is highly commendable.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Ijeoma Young, stated that her joy knows no bound adding that she never expected such kind gesture from the Governor’s wife and prayed that God will continue to protect and bless her.
