EID EL FITRI: Ikpeazu Felicitates Abia Moslems

Abia State Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has congratulated the Moslem Community in the State on the successful completion of the Ramadan Fasting period which is one of the pillars of the Islamic Religion.

In his Sallah Message to Moslems in the State, Governor Ikpeazu charged them to make the lessons of the Ramadan a permanent part of their lives.

According to the Governor, the Ramadan is synonymous with the lessons of sacrifice, forbearance, tolerance, self control, love for others and peace, which are critical elements required for a united and peaceful life.

Governor Ikpeazu tasked the moslems to use the opportunity of the Sallah to pray for the sustenance of the peace and security in the State and the country.

He thanked for Moslem Community in the State for maintaining peaceful and harmonious coexistence and for living up to their civic responsibilities as citizens and assured moslems and adherents of all religions that his administration will continue to uphold the Rights to Freedom of Thought, Conscience and Religion of all citizens, provided that such rights will be exercised lawfully.
