The Commissioner for Special Duties and Vulnerable Groups Hon Chisom Nwachukwu has applauded Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for changing the narratives in the healthcare system through the provision of quality medical facilities across the state.
Speaking during the commissioning of the Abia state Children Specialist Hospital, Umuahia ,Hon Nwachukwu, noted that the health facility has all that is needed to function effectively, including the state of the art facilities to take care of special cases concerning Children and mothers, pointing out that it will give the people accessible and affordable health care.
According to the Commissioner, the facility will also reduce to its barest minimum infant and maternal mortality rate among women and children as well as address other health challenges among children.
Hon Nwachukwu while also commending Governor Ikpeazu for deploying resources and strategies to procure world class equipments and specialists to man the facility for the benefit of Ndi-Abia, urged managers of the facility to put the facilities into good use.
