Australian tennis player and world number one, Ashleigh Barty, yesterday announced her retirement from the sport that brought her fame and fortune.
Barty, who is only 25, revealed her plans in an Instagram video where she spoke to her friend and former doubles partner Casey Dellacqua.
Barty, who has won three grand slam titles and is currently the Wimbledon and Australian Open champions, said her retirement is to enable her ‘pursue other dreams.’
