Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool cut Manchester City’s lead to one point after a 0-2 victory over Arsenal.
Diego Jota and Roberto Firmino scored two second half goals to give the Reds their ninth successive victory and 69 points, a point behind leaders Manchester City.
Arsenal, who played with confidence, but failed to convert their chances are still fourth on the log, a point above Manchester United. The Gunners still have two outstanding matches, which will take them seven points clear of United if they get favorable results.
This season’s title chase is getting more interesting. While Manchester City and Liverpool are the top contenders, Chelsea should not be ruled out completely as they are only 11 points behind leaders and still have 30 points to contend for, before the end of the season.
