Abia Warriors of Umuahia went, saw and conquered Lobi Stars 1-2 at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi in one of the week 18 matches of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
After a goalless first half, debutant Odoh Valentine put the visitors in front in 54th minute. However the lead lasted for only few minutes as Lobi Stars restored parity.
Valentine gave Abia Warriors’ fans a valentine gift in March with the second goal.
These three points have propelled Warriors to 13th on the table.
Enyimba International of Aba could not make full use of their home advantage as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Plateau United.

The biggest winners of the weekend were Enugu Rangers, who thrashed defending champions, Akwa United 0-3 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo while Shooting Stars defeated Kano pillars by a lone goal.
