Former Nigerian international, Justice Christopher slumped and died in his hotel in Jos, Plateau State on Wednesday.
It was reported that he played a social football game on Tuesday only to be found dead on Wednesday.
He played for Nigeria at the 2002 World Cup hosted by Japan and South Korea and was capped nine times for the Super Eagles.
Christopher’s teammate in the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo has paid tribute describing the deceased as a close friend.
Christopher played for Katsina United, Sharks and Bendel Insurance before he moved to Europe where he played for clubs like Royal Antwerp of Belgium, Levski Sofia of Bulgaria, Trelleborg of Sweden and Herfolge Boldklub of Denmark.
