2022 World Cup Playoffs: Nigeria Name Squad

Nigeria has named a strong squad that will take on the Black Stars of Ghana for a place in the 2022 World Cup billed for Qatar later in the year.

The list comprises of the goalkeeping trio of Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho and Daniel Akpeyi.

Defenders are William Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Leon Balogun, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Zaidu Sanusi and Shehu Abdullahi.

Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo, Frank Onyeka and Akinkunmi Amao will do the mid-field battle while the strikers are Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen, Sadiq Umar, Kelechi Iheanacho, Emmanuel Dennis and Ademola Lookman.

Those in the stand-by list are Chidozie Awaziem, Jamilu Collins, Chidera Ojuke, Taiwo Awoniyi, Paul Onuachu, Peter Olayinka and Ogenyi Onazi.

The first leg of the match will hold in Ghana on March 25 and the second leg in Nigeria will hold four days later.
