Abia State Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Dr. Eze Chikamnayo says Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is building the Aba roads in a cluster module.
He explained that the Governor’s idea was to open up the clusters of roads, adding that “All of that was been done with a reason to make sure that any area that the Governor touches, is done and dusted because Aba was completely dead in terms of infrastructure before Governor Ikpeazu came.”
Dr. Chikamnayo, who disclosed these while featuring in a monitored radio programme in Umuahia tagged “Peoples Parliament”, said when Governor Ikpeazu came on board and started addressing the problem of infrastructure in Aba, he started taking it one session after the other.
According to the Commissioner, clusters of roads have been done in Eziukwu road, Milverton, Ojike Street around Eziukwu Phase 2 as well as Ukaegbu, Umuola, Ehere, Egege, Amaohafia, Ebenma and others around Ogborhill area among other clusters of roads. He maintained that “you cannot count on your fingers the number of roads that were done in Aba”.
The Information & Strategy boss emphasised that Governor Ikpeazu is going to leave government with a lot of what he called “first to his name”, explaining that he is the “First Governor to introduce geriatric service, first Governor to introduce Abia telehealth initiative, first Governor introduce TIMAAS, first Governor to create Abia Orientation Agency, first Governor to bring out a long term, development plan thirty years planning ahead of time. First Governor to bring an interchange to the shores of Abia. First Governor on every front.”
He appreciated the Governor for being innovative in all flanks, creating institutions with a resolve not to be distracted by the shenanigans of opposition.
