Check Hoarding, Overpricing Of Products, Ikpeazu Tasks Newly Inuagurated Committee On Petroleum

 

 

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has tasked the newly inaugurated 18 man Special Task Force for Petroleum on road and fuel station headed by Hon. Ubani Dannie to check hoarding and overpricing of petroleum products .

 

 

 

Inaugurating the task force at Government House Umuahia, Governor Ikpeazu charged them to also ensure that they eradicate illegal depot at private compounds and wrong metering through which fuel dealers cheat the public.

 

The Governor who spoke through his Chief of Staff, Prof. ACB Agbazuere, implored them not to see their nomination as compensation or avenue to amass wealth thereby creating a bad image for the state but rather a call for service adding that their mandate may be reviewed from time to time.

He reminded the newly inaugurated committee that the Ministry of Petroleum resources remains the supervisory ministry, adding that he will not accept any form of conflict and assured that government will give them the necessary support.

 

Responding on behalf of the other members, the Chairman ,Hon. Ubani Dannie said they see their nomination as a privilege and assured that they will work diligently to give the Abia populace quality service delivery.

 

Other members of the task force are;Ahuruonye Darlington as (Secretary).Collins Vincent, Prince Max Amanze, Nwazuo Steve, James Nnamdi, Bright Alaribe and Alibion Dada.

Others are;Iheanyi Nwogu, Emeka Ihekaumuna, Collins Ogbonna, Chinweoke Anyatonwu and Obioma Nwachukwu. 

 

The rest are Representatives of the Police, the Army, Department of State Security Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC).
