The indomitable Lions of Cameroon came from three goals down to beat Burkina Faso and clinch the third-placed match of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Stallions had a perfect first half with Yago opening scoring before Cameroon goalkeeper gifted the Burkinabes the second goal by knocking the ball into his own net.
Burkina Faso made it three in the second half through Ouattara. But, the hosts pulled one back in the 71st minute through Bahoken. The tournament’s top scorer, Vincent Aboubakar scored his seventh and eighth goals of the competition to restore parity.
Ibrahim Toure missed his spot kick to give Cameroon a 5-3 victory on penalties.
Recall that both teams met in the opening match of the competition and Cameroon came from behind to win 2-1.
