The former Abia State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman and 2023 Abia State Governorship aspirant, Sen Emma Nwaka has sympathized with the families of the victims of the sad and unfortunate accident that occured on the 3rd of February, 2022 at the abattoir situated at waterside river, Aba.
In the early hours of Thursday, a trailer fully loaded with goods had failed break and rammed into the market where several people were said to have lost their lives and many injured.
Sen Emma Nwaka stated that it was an unfortunate incident but urged the families of the affected victims to take solace in the Lord.
He also commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his quick interventions and courage to swiftly move, and relocate the Udele Market which has become an eyesore to a new place.
He prayed for the injured victims for quick recovery and also asked that God give the families that lost their loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
