Ghana Crash Out of AFCON

Four time champions, the Black Stars of Ghana have been eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations after losing 2-3 to Comoros Island.

Ghana needed to win the encounter to stand a chance of progressing to the round of 16, but it was the Islanders that drew the first blood when Ben Nabouhane fired a low shot into the net with Ghana’s goal keeper Joseph Wolacott unable to attempt a save.

As the Black Stars push for an equalizer Andre Dede Ayew was sent off for sliding into Comoros goal keeper and injuring him in the process.
