The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the third and final round of Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers for Africa, after the drew 1-1 with the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde.
Napoli of Italy striker, Victor Osimhen gave Nigeria the lead as early as the first minute, but the Islanders fought back to equalize few minutes later.
It remained a ding dong affair till the end of the match. Nigeria progressed with 13 points while Cape Verde came second with 11 points.
Other teams in the last round are Algeria, Tunisia, Cameroon, Mali, Egypt, Ghana, Senegal, Morocco and DR Congo.
The 10 teams will be paired for a home and away encounter. The five teams that won will qualify for the mundial.
