Spain end Italy’s Unbeaten Run, Qualify for Nations League Final

Spain booked their place in Sunday’s final of the UEFA Nations League with a 1-2 victory over Italy at the San Siro stadium and thereby end Italy’s 37 match unbeaten run.

It was a sweet revenge for the Spaniards who lost to Italy on penalties in the semi-finals of Euros 2020.

Ferran Torres, who plays his club football for Manchester City, scored both goals for Spain with Oyazabal assisting both goals.

The Italians were behind as early as the 17th minute and the task of bouncing back was made more difficult when Bunucci was dismissed for two bookable offenses.

Pellegrini scored a consolatory goal on the 83rd minute.

Spain will face the winner of the second semi-final match between France and Belgium in the final while Italy will lurk horns with the loser in the third placed match.

  1. I wish Belgium will get to the final and eventually win the Nations League. This Golden Generation should win a title.
