UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Ibrahimovic to Miss Liverpool, AC Milan Clash

Achilles tendon problem will prevent Zlatan Ibrahimovic from playing for AC Milan in their Champions League opening match against Liverpool tonight at the Amfield.

After making a goal-scoring return from injury against Lazio in the Serie A, his coach Stefano Pioli said that Zlatan, who will turn 40 in October, had an inflammation.

Seven time European champions, Milan are making their first return to the Champions League since 2014. They have won all their three opening matches in the Serie A this season, an indication that Liverpool, who last won this competition in 2019, should be expecting a tough encounter.
