Amakama Residents Appeal For Improve Funding Of Their Health Centre

The management of amakama health centre has appealed for the government to increase funding to the health facility.
Speaking with our reporter, the head nurse, Mrs. Adimoha A. Cecilia disclosed that the health centre is going through a lot of challenges which has hampered it’s smooth operations, ranging from lack of portable water and electricity supply, inadequate manpower and infrastructure among others.

According to Adimoha, the the medical doctor assigned to the health centre comes to consult patients only on antenatal and vaccination days.

One of the patients, Mrs, uche Kalu said that the poor state of the hospital facilities has made most people in the community to seek for healthcare outside the community, pleading with the government to come to their rescue.

Another resident of Alaojii Amakama, Mr Onyema Chuks noted that the poorly equipped health centre can no longer meet the needs of their community and poses a grave danger to them.
