Lawmaker facilitates Financial Literacy Training

The Minority Whip and member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Mike Ukoha, has facilitated Financial Literacy Training, to members of his constituency.

Speaking at the end of the Five-Day programme in Arochukwu, the Lawmaker explained that it is his desire, to see people of his constituency benefitting from government intervention programmes.

He stated that the financial training, will help the participants to manage their finances when it is approved by NIRSAL Micro Finance Bank and thanked Homeland Consult Training Institute, for doing a wonderful job.

Speaking while issuing Certificates to participants at the end of the training on Saturday, 6th June, 2020, at Arochukwu, Mrs. Sarah Anaba of Homeland Consult and Training Institute Ltd (Certified EDI), explained that she is happy that the participants were committed in the five days intensive training.

She further revealed that uploading of their business plans, will commence immediately, adding that everything will go smoothly.

Speaking in an interview, some of the participants, including Dr. Sam Okoro, Mr. Ozone Okoroafor, and Mazi Innocent Okoroji, expressed delight in the training.

They all lauded the efforts of the facilitator, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, and pointed out that if successful, they will utilize their money, to enhance their Agricultural businesses, which have suffered setbacks due to lack of financial support.

Dr. Sam Okoro, specifically, expressed displeasure that the youths as the most targeted, have not utilized this opportunity to key into the programme.

He therefore call on the youths of Arochukwu LGA, who have a skill, to join in the training so as to benefit like their counterparts in the Northern part of the country.

Some of the areas covered during the training, include Legal Responsibility, Costing of Goods and Services, Record Keeping, Project Risk Analysis, Marketing, Feasibility Study Report, etc.
