Ikpeazu Charges Abians to take pride in made in Abia products

The Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has charged every Abians to take pride in whatever they are producing by tagging Abia trade marks on it.

Mrs. Ikpeazu, made the statement at the official launching of the state Indigenous content campaign through the Abia State Orientation Agency at the Michael Okpara Auditorium in Umuahia.

According to her, “Abia is blessed with many industrial strength and huge enterpreneural skills to manufacture many things, from garments to clothing, leather works of all kinds, foods, jewelries and accessories, ict, automobile, wood works and arts to name but a few”.

The Governor’s wife, however, acknowledged that the challenge before now has been how to get the world recognize the power and the potential of the Abia enterpreneural spirit and thanked the Governor Ikpeazu for leading the race in showcasing made in Abia product around the world.

Mrs. Ikpeazu maintained the vision of the Governor in initiating these platforms through the state orientation agency is to give greater impetus and resourcefulness to the ingenuity of the Abia Producers and manufacturers.

” I commend every one of you working on this project and similar ones, and I know with consistency we will eliminate every barrier to place Abia as a leading light in the global industrial space”.

Meanwhile, the Director General of the State Orientation Agency, Mr. Godwin Adindu, said that the Governor’s vision is to develop Abia and at the same time make Abia to manufacture their own products.

He said, the campaign would run through the year to let the world be conversant with made in Abia product.
