Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed optimism that the Computerized Vehicle Inspection Service And Electronic Vehicle Administration System will go a long way towards significant reduction of road accidents and untimely deaths caused by use of vehicles that are not road worthy.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who stated this when he received the Business Development Executive of Temple SYC Inspection Ltd, Mr Edward Aderemi and his team at Government House, Umuahia noted that the new system will also increase the internally generated revenue of the state by giving proper account of revenue collected through the exrcise to enable government develop the State.
Represented by his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu also stressed that the programme will boost the security network of the state by giving accurate identity of vehicle owners and those whose vehicles are used for criminal activities and urged the Ministry Of Transport and other relevant agencies to liaise with the Temple SYC Ltd to succeed.
He reassured that government will collaborate and assist them in completing their office project in Aba and urged them to ensure transparency and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
Earlier in his speech, the Business Development Executive Of Temple, SYC Inspection Ltd, Mr Edward Aderemi said they came to showcase their programme on the Computerized Vehicle Inspection Service And Electronic Vehicle Administration System for proper management of traffic, ensure safety on the road ,increase the state internally generated revenue as well as improve the security situation by issuing particulars of vehicles to their owners at critical moments.
