Uzosike pledges loyalty, commitment to serve constituents

Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Jerry Uzosike, has assured his constituents that he would not betray the confidence reposed in him as a State lawmaker.

 

Hon. Uzosike who made the remark while receiving in audience Umuahia South Leaders Forum, who paid him a solidarity visit in the State House of Assembly, expressed gratitude to them for electing him as their representative in the State Assembly during the 2019 general elections adding that he owes the people of Umuahia South his loyalty and commitment to service.

 

While pledging his loyalty to the Umuahia South People’s Democratic Party stakeholders, and entire leadership of the Party in the State, the lawmaker reaffirmed that he would use his good offices to attract quality democracy dividends to his Constituency.

 

Earlier, the Leader of the caucus, Pastor Emeka Inyama, stated that they came to show their solidarity support and to officially congratulate Hon. Jerry Uzosike, on his emergence as the legislator representing Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia House of Assembly.

 

Pastor noted that he was their preferred choice and candidate in the March 9, 2019, State House of Assembly election due to his unique qualities and charged him to do the people of Umuahia South proud.
While commending Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for appointing one of their sons, Barr. Chris Ezem, as the Secretary to Abia State Government, Pastor Inyama noted that Umuahia South is greatly favoured to have them occupy strategic positions in the State and prayed that more fortunes would come to them.
He urged Hon. Uzosike to be humble and diligent in his legislative duties and enjoined him to always put his constituents and Abia in general at the frontburner.
Contributing, the former National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Vincent Ogbulafor, and the State pioneer chairman of the PDP, Chief Tony Ukasoanya, urged the lawmaker to be focused in the legislative business and remain loyal to the leadership of the State Assembly and further enjoined him to utilize his position judiciously to impact on his constituents.

 

In his remark, the former Minority Leader in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Max Adindu, thanked Hon. Uzosike for the hospitality accorded them, and expressed confidence that he would do the needful.
