Algeria Are Champions of Africa

The Desert Foxes of Algeria have defeated the Teranga Lions of Senegal by a lone goal to win the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations that took place in Egypt.

Baghdad Bounedja scored in the second minute to give the North Africans their second AFCON title.

Their first success came in 1990, when they hosted and defeated Nigeria in the final by a lone goal.

This is the second time the Teranga Lions of Senegal will be losing the final. In Mali 2002 Senegal lost on penalties to the Indomitable Lions of Senegal.
