The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on Algeria in the semi-finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations. The Algerians defeated another West African side, the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire on 4-3 penalties after full and extra-time had ended 1-1.
Super Eagles qualified for the semi-finals after eliminating Bafana Bafana of South Africa 2-1.
The other semi-finals will see the Teranga Lions of Senegal will tread tackles with the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
Senegal eliminated fellow West Africans, Benin Republic while Tunisia eliminated tournament’s surprise package Madagascar 3-0.
Both semi-finals will hold on Sunday.
