Nigerian youths have been charged to always sustain the already existing peace and unity established among African nations.
The Publicity Secretary of the African Youths Union Commission (AYUC), Nigeria, and the Member of Democracy African Youth Parliament, Amb. Graham Elendu, who stated this recently while delivering his goodwill message to Nigerian Students in a Youth Summit/Award Night, organized by National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), holden at Nurses hostel banquet hall, Accra, Ghana, urged them to always be ambassadors of peace wherever they find themselves.
Elendu who observed the election of new executives of the NANS in All Nations University, Koforidua,Ghana, further charged the officers to ensure that they leave good legacies worthy of emulation, adding that they should make peace their watch word and preach same.
Amb. Elendu condemned the recent attacks on Nigerians who are going about their legitimate businesses in Ghana because of few black peeps but commended the efforts of both countries in handling the issues.
“Ghana and Nigeria have an age-long peaceful coexistence and cordial relationship that should not be broken, but if strengthened, can lead Africa to a greater height”, Elendu stated.
The Publicity Secretary of AYUC, therefore, thanked the leadership of Nigerian students in Ghana for the “Award of Achievement” bestowed on him, pointing out that it is a proof that the works people do are being observed.
In their separate speeches, during the outgoing NANS President, Ghana chapter, Comr. Collins Albert, stated that he had been able to achieve,among other things, a non factional NANS in his time and lauded his team and followers for their support, while the newly elected President, Comrade. Adebayo, on behalf of his executives , promised to discharge their duties effectively.
