Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate dissolution of the Boards of the following parastatals in the State:
1. Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH)
2. Hospital Management Board (HMB)
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mr Enynnaya Appolos did not reveal why the two boards were dissolved.
The Statement expressed Governor Ikpeazu’s appreciation to the members of the two boards for their contributions to the state’s health sector and wishes them well in their future endeavors.
