The Inter-Party Advisory Council(IPAC) Abia State Chapter, has congratulated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on his victory at the just concluded Governorship election in the state.
The State Chairman of the group and also state chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA),Augustine Ehiemere who led members of the state executive of IPAC during a congratulatory visit to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu at Government House Umuahia,said the council is encouraged by the developmental strides of the Governor in the past few years.
Ehiemere noted that the body is willing to partner with the Ikpeazu administration to advance the fortunes of the state and deliver on the yearnings of the people.
While pledging the support of IPAC to the success of Governor Ikpeazu’s administration,Ehiemere urged the Governor to see his reelection as a call to rise above political consideration and called on all political parties in the state to join hands with the Governor to move Abia forward in the next four years.
Governor Ikpeazu in his response described the visit as symbolic ,assuring that his vision for the next four years will be to galvanize the potentials of Abia people for the full development of the state.
According to governor Ikpeazu,the next four years of his government will concentrate on job creation, as well as opening up the Enyimba economic city project which will provide over 700,000 job opportunities to Abians.
The Governor pledged to run an inclusive government and invited all political parties and all people of goodwill to join hands with his administration to develop the state.
Chairman of Social Democratic Party, SDP, Chidi Nwosu was among other party Chairmen that visited the Governor.
