MANCHESTER UNITED: Saudi Prince Deny Takeover Bid.

Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has denied the rumor making the rounds that he has taken over Manchester United in a deal worth £3.8bn. His media minister, Turki al-Shabanah, denied the reports in a statement released today.

Recall that Manchester United’s American owners bought the club for £790m in May 2005.

“Reports claiming that HRH the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman intends on buying Manchester United are completely false,” said Turki al-Shabanah.

He added, “Manchester United held a meeting with PIF Saudi to discuss a sponsorship opportunity. No deal has materialised.”
