Abia Speaker urges constituents to cautiously vote in candidates

Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kalu, has urged the people of Nvosi in lsiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State to ensure they reelect all the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, candidates in the next week’s general elections.

Hon. Kalu who stated this in his ward-to-ward campaign-rally held at Ehi-na-Uguru Osokwa, Ward 5 and Apunekpu, Eziama-Obuba Ward 6, in Isiala Ngwa South, his Constituency, noted that the candidates, Governor Ikpeazu, Senator T.A Orji, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha and himself had performed creditably in the past three years in governance.

 

He noted that he had embarked on numerous lives touching projects and empowerment programmes across the constituency since elected as a Lawmaker adding that he is poised to deliver more quality democracy dividends to the people of Isiala Ngwa South.
While appealing to them to sheath their swords of grievances especially those who are yet to reap the dividends of democracy in their tenure to be patient with them adding that the trend would not elude them in the next dispensation.
The Speaker further appealed to his constituents to be meticulous during the voting exercise to avoid gross mistakes that could lead to void votes or possibly cancellation of results.
Earlier, the Coordinator, PDP, Campaign Council, Chief Israel Nwaogwu, among other grassroot leaders that lent their voices promised to do the needful come February 16 and March 2 general polls.
The event attracted many political bigwigs in Isiala Ngwa South, such as Dr. Gashon Amuta, Chief Remijus Nji, Dr. ACB Agbazuere, Chief Chinagorom Nwankpa, Dr. Chris Nwagboso, Chief Darmian Ozurumba, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha among other persons of note.
